H. Dieter Hertzog, M.D.

Dr. H. Dieter Hertzog, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has performed over 25,000 cataract, laser, and eyelid surgeries during his career. He is a 4th-generation eye surgeon. Dr. Hertzog earned his degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University in 2005. He received his MD from Loma Linda University Medical School in 2010, finishing 1st in his class of 169 students. He subsequently completed his residency at the prestigious USC-Doheny Eye Institute where he became well-versed in complex cataract surgery. He completed an additional 2-year fellowship at UCLA-Doheny, mastering intricate eyelid surgeries including upper and lower blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, and eyelid lesion/cancer removal with subsequent reconstruction.
