Level Up Drums is a program that uses musical games as well as customized playlists to motivate younger students. I start with game-based activities that double as exercises (waterfall rounds, skateboarding, level up, and more), then we progress to song structure and musical notation which is customized from the songs they choose. Down the line we work on ensemble performance that I train them for by leading them on keyboard. And yes, I use all of these learning modules with my online students as well. I have 12 years’ experience teaching private drum lessons, and 6 years experience teaching drum classes at schools in LA, from South Central to Hollywood to East LA to Santa Monica.
