Dr. Laura Almquist grew up in Atlanta where she attended the Westminster Schools. She graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in psychology. After receiving her medical degree at Medical College of Georgia, she completed internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC, where she served as Chief Resident from 2017-2018. During her training she completed an advanced curriculum in robotic surgery and was awarded both the Resident Achievement Award from the Society for Laparoendoscopic Surgeons as well as the Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is married with one child and two dogs.
